Miguel Azcue was born in Cuba in 1967. He is the artistic director of Memory Wax. His dance education started in Cuba at Escuela Nacional de Danza and later continued at the University of Utah in the US. He has worked as a dancer in various professional companies like; Retazos Dance Company – Cuba, National Company – Ecuador, Ririewoodbury Dance Company – USA, Carte Blanche – Norway and Philippe Blanchard – Sweden. He has won two choreographic competitions with the pieces Fe (Dansolution I in Denmark, 2004) and Desert (Certamen Coreografico de Galicia in Spain, 2005). His works have been presented in festivals like; Aerowaves/UK, American Dance Festival/ US, Tanec Praha/CZ.
