Crisálida inaugurates the Passage International Street Theatre Festival

Don’t miss us Wednesday evening 29th of July at Dunkers Culture & Arts Center in Helsingborg! We’re inaugurating the Passage Festival, Northern Europe’s largest international street theatre festival with our critically acclaimed place specific dance piece ”Crisálida”. Our Cuban dancers are in Sweden and we promise to knock it out of the park!

Shadowlands! New premiere the 9th of october + touring!

As part of our 10th anniversary 2014, we wanted to bring back our children show Shadowlands again. Now we can present a tour in Skåne and Blekinge–Kronoberg, 42 school and public performances. Hurray! Please visit our calendar for more details! We also want to present the new crew on stage: Alexandra Göransson, Jerry Pedersen and Malin Skoglund. Technicians on tour: Johan Söderberg and Imre Zsibrik. The tour is carried out in cooperation with Salto! and Regionteatern Blekinge–Kronoberg. Memory Wax arranges Transitos Habana – Scandinavian Culture Days and offers a variety of wonderful artists, 15-26 of April:
Lisa Nordström holds concerts, Big Wind performs with their dance performance of The Waltz of the Flowers, field works performs the dance piece distant voices by Heine Avdal and Yukiko Shinozaki, Pether Lindgren and Ajabu is recording a music documentary and presents films.

Memory Wax performes at welcome event for refugees on October 24th at Ystad Theatre

Ystad’s Theatre, Rotary, Open House Österlen (amongst others) collaborate with Memory Wax and other artists to hold a Welcome event for refugees Saturday the 24th of October at 18.00. Memory Wax artistic director and choreographer Johanna Jonasson will dance a solo from the Memory Wax dance piece ”Desert” about meetings that reflect, question and complete the true self.

TANZMESSE CANCELED

Tanzmesse in Düsseldorf / Germany, between 26-30 August, was unfortunately canceled, due to prevailing circumstances, where we would have participated with our children’s show Claroscuro.
International Tanzmesse nrw is a large professional international gathering in the dance field and is held every other year in August. Danscentrum Riks coordinated the Swedish presence at this year’s fair with different programs and liveacts.

INSIDE OUT TO SÖRMLAND

Memory Wax’s playful and poetically powerful dance duet Inside Out is presented at Nyköping’s theater for four weeks in March and April. The tour starts on Monday, March 20, with the dancers Manuel Mora and Olo Tamayo. The tour continues in early April with Jonas Örkner, who we previously have seen in the performance, now with a new dance partner Alex Nagy. Inside Out will be shown to over 2,000 children and youth between the ages of 6 and 12 years in the region. The tour is carried out in collaboration with Scenkonst Sörmland
ABC WORKSHOPS
