Johanna Jonasson was born in Lund – Sweden 1974. She is the artistic director of Memory Wax. Her dance education started at Malmö Citytheatre Balletschool and continued at Swedish Ballet School/modern direction and the University of Dance in Stockholm. She has worked as a dancer in various professional companies and choreographers; Philippe Blanchard – Sweden, Carte Blanche – Norway, Dansstationens touring company – Sweden, Gunilla Heilborn – Sweden, Ina-Christel Johannessen – Norway, Dorte Olesen – Sweden and Retazos Dance Company – Cuba.
